[경상매일신문=신일권기자] ‘오만 투자 및 진출 설명회’가 10일 오후 2시 경북 콘텐츠기업지원센터 4층에서 성황리에 개최됐다. 창명그룹과 (주)송현엠앤티가 주최 및 주관하고, 한국중소벤처무역협회(KOSTA)와 (주)새늘이 후원한 이번 설명회는 오만 투자 및 진출 전략, 비즈니스 협력 추진 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.설명회에는 한국중소벤처무역협회(KOSTA) 천기화 회장, 창명그룹 이명량 회장, 창명코리아 정환목 대표, (주)새늘 윤영수 대표를 비롯한 지역 기업인, 투자자 등 다양한 분야의 관계자들이 참석해 오만 시장에 대한 높은 관심을 보였다. 이날 1부 행사에서는 한국중소벤처무역협회, 창명그룹, (유)창명코리아 3자 업무협약식이 진행됐다. 이번 협약은 오만 및 GCC 회원국 시장 내 한국 중소 벤처기업의 진출을 지원하고, 상호 협력 체계를 구축해 지속 가능한 비즈니스 기회를 창출하는 것을 목표로 한다.   한국중소벤처무역협회 천기화 회장은 “이번 MOU 체결을 통해 창명그룹, 창명코리아, 한국중소벤처무역협회 회원사들이 수입·수출에 조금이나마 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.”며, “우리 중소기업 제품의 수출 증대와 원자재 수입 경쟁력 확보를 통해 좋은 결과를 얻기를 바란다.”고 밝혔다.   창명그룹 이명량 회장은 “오만 경제 및 최근 동향, 오만 진출 유망 업종, 오만 현지 진출 사례, 오만 진출 전략 등 한국 기업이 오만으로 진출하는 데 필요한 정보와 기회를 공유하겠다”고 말했다.창명코리아 정환목 대표는 “오만의 경제 및 시장 환경을 이해하고, 오만 내 유망 산업 및 한국기업이 오만에 진출하는 데 도움이 되도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 다짐했다.2부에서는 오만 투자 및 진출 유망 업종인 수산업, 에너지(석유, 가스, 신재생에너지, 광물), 건설, 관광, ICT, 물류, 자동차, E-sport, 블록체인 등에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다. 또한, 오만 시장 및 경제 현황, 무스카트 창명과의 오만 비즈니스 협력 방안, 중국 기업의 성공 사례 등이 소개됐다.이번 설명회를 통해 포항 지역기업들이 오만 시장에 대한 이해를 높이고, 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 창출할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 오만과의 경제 협력을 통해 지역경제 활성화에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.     ‘Oman Investment and Market Entry Briefing’ Successfully Held at Gyeongbuk Content Enterprise Support CenterThe ‘Oman Investment and Market Entry Briefing’ was successfully held at 2:00 PM on the 4th floor of the Gyeongbuk Content Enterprise Support Center on the 10th.Hosted and organized by Changming Group and Songhyun M&T Co., Ltd., and sponsored by the Korea SMEs Trade Association (KOSTA) and Saeneul Co., Ltd., this briefing aimed to discuss investment strategies, market entry plans, and business cooperation initiatives in Oman.The event was attended by key figures including Cheon Ki-hwa, Chairman of KOSTA; Lee Myung-ryang, Chairman of Changming Group; Jung Hwan-mok, CEO of Changming Korea; and Yoon Young-soo, CEO of Saeneul Co., Ltd. Various stakeholders such as local business leaders and investors also participated, demonstrating a strong interest in the Omani market.MOU Signing for Business CooperationThe first part of the event featured the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among KOSTA, Changming Group, and Changming Korea.This agreement aims to support the entry of Korean SMEs and venture businesses into the markets of Oman and the GCC member countries, establishing a cooperative framework to create sustainable business opportunities.Cheon Ki-hwa, Chairman of KOSTA, expressed his expectations for the MOU, stating, “Through this agreement, we hope that Changming Group, Changming Korea, and KOSTA members will benefit in import and export operations. We anticipate positive outcomes by enhancing the export of Korean SME products and strengthening competitiveness in raw material imports.”Lee Myung-ryang, Chairman of Changming Group, highlighted the significance of the event, saying, “We will share essential information and opportunities for Korean businesses entering Oman, including the Omani economy and recent trends, promising sectors for market entry, case studies of companies already established in Oman, and effective market entry strategies.”Jung Hwan-mok, CEO of Changming Korea, reaffirmed his commitment, stating, “We will make our best efforts to help Korean businesses understand the economic and market environment of Oman and facilitate their successful entry into promising industries in the country.”Industry Insights and Business CooperationIn the second part of the event, in-depth discussions were held on Oman’s promising investment and market entry sectors, including fisheries, energy (oil, gas, renewable energy, minerals), construction, tourism, ICT, logistics, automotive, e-sports, and blockchain. Additionally, participants were provided with insights into the economic landscape of Oman, business cooperation opportunities with Muscat Changming, and successful case studies of Chinese companies operating in Oman.The briefing is expected to enhance the understanding of Pohang-based companies regarding the Omani market and create new business opportunities. Furthermore, economic cooperation with Oman is anticipated to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.
